This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing modules.
You can drag and and drop to rearrange.
You can edit modules to customize them.
The left side has modules you can add!
Some modules you can only access when you get a subscription.
Some modules have options that are only available when you get a subscription.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain modules can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
The last issue of Astroboy Movie Adaptation is done, sent off for approval on 15th of June. I probably should've make this Journal entry last week, but I didn't, I felt like I needed a little bit of relaxing. Speaking of journal, this is actually my first ever journal entry on DA. Strangely, I've unintentionally abandoned my "real homepage" at protodepot.com. I wanted to do more with my website, but sadly I have little time to do anything.
For the past few months, I have been going to bed at 11:00pm (probably consistently earliest I have ever gone to bed) and getting up at 2:00am. My parents told me that during these hours, livers does its work on neutralizing the toxin built up by our bodies during the day, sleeping allows livers to function the way it meant to be, otherwise the toxin continues to build up inside the liver. I aint going to argue with that, besides, this schedule works out quite well. I get to concentrate on my work between 2am to 9am or whenever my little girl wakes up. After changing her and feeding her, we played a little bit, sometimes I would get a friend or my wife's sister to come over to watch her, whenever that happens, I would get to spend couple more hours on drawing. In the afternoon, after little Myra had her lunch, I would put her to bed for nap, sometimes if I feel a little tired, I would get get 30mins to an hour of nap with her, then I work some more until my wife comes home. It's the family time during evening, sometimes Myra would play with mom sometimes by herself, other times she would fight me for my Cintiq when she sees me on it. I give Myra bath around 8:30pm and put her to bed around 9:00pm. Then I would work a little more until my bed time at 11:00pm.
Amazingly, I was able to finish the entire issue of Astroboy Movie Adaptation #4 in less than 14 days. I still could not believe that I was somewhat associated with the legacy of Tezuka Sensei. This series of comic will be my last set of comic book work for awhile. I have to prepare the house for our expected twins in September. The new baby will need a lot of care and little Myra will feel left out so she needs attention. There will be very little time for such demanding work of comic book.
Man, I didn't know you were on dA (I've known you on Penciljack), and by looking at your gallery, it seems I missed on quite a few things from you. So I'm watching you from now on!
the Gallery software on my website kept corrupting itself so I figure I don't want to waste my time fixing it from time to time. That's why I making a "home" here on DA
Hehe, yeah dA is so convenient, I use it as my main gallery too since recently. And thanks for the watch, I'll try not to disappoint!
BTW, I knew you painted digitally, but I didn't know you went all digital, drawing included. The results are pretty impressive, I really thought that wolverine was traditional for instance. However I don't know if it's me being rigid, but it occurs that one of my favorite pieces from you is traditional, and it's that awesome sketch of Spidey vs Hulk. I love every aspect of it.
I am kind of trying to eliminate the tedious process of scanning. Recently, I did 3-issues of comics completely digital, it actually saved tons of time too.
Spidey vs Hulk was also one of my recent personal favorite too, thanks!
The time-saving factor is the main appeal to me, but I haven't made the leap into full digital yet. Eventhough I have redrawn a few bits of scanned images directly with the tablet with satisfactory results. But I really don't have as much control of my line when going digital for some reason. We'll see how it develops I guess!
Anyway, it was great talking to you, and yeah, that Spidey vs Hulk is awesome, and I'm faving it right away!
AWESOME!
