Artist's Comments

Autobot Hotrod Earth mode design sketch for IDW's Transformers comic. He made his Earth mode debut in "Devastation". I tried to retain as much of the design elements from Nick Roche's Cybertronian design as possible.

Dodge Viper is actually not a very easy vehicle to transform especially if I want to keep much of the original car transformation scheme. Viper has an extremely long hood, which is one of the element that makes the vehicle sexy. After the tranformation, the hood has been shortened quite a bit more than my liking in order to make the robot mode more well-proportioned.

Your auto-to-robot always makes sense, and has a lot of resemblance, whereas when one sees the robot, they can tell what kind of car it transforms from.

When are they going to come out with Ford GT?

Randy, they have made couple of Transformers toys out of Ford GT, just google "Transformers Alternators Ford GT"
